Seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our busy facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is integral to our outbound logistics process, ensuring all shipments are correctly documented, packaged, and dispatched. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of shipping procedures. You will work closely with the shipping team to manage outgoing freight, process shipping orders, and maintain accurate records. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a growing logistics network and hone your skills in shipping and receiving.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation for all outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipment details against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for transit, selecting appropriate materials.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and warehouse organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in shipping/receiving or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Dedication to safety standards, including the use of PPE.
