Are you a skilled and safety-conscious individual? We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role is integral to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that products are moved accurately and without damage. You will operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and pallet jacks, to transport goods to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including proper load handling and maneuvering in tight spaces, is essential. Maintaining equipment and reporting any mechanical issues are also key aspects of this job. Compliance with all safety regulations and the consistent use of appropriate PPE are non-negotiable. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining a productive workflow. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and a proven ability to operate machinery safely and effectively. Experience with RF scanners and WMS is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move and stack materials within the warehouse.
- Transport products to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with WMS and RF scanners is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
