DevOps Engineer / Systems Specialist
Fortuna is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer / Systems Specialist to support enterprise application environments and infrastructure for a major client engagement with Deloitte. This role focuses on application deployment, environment management, automation, and operational support across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting .NET/ASP.NET applications in Windows environments, managing IIS web hosting platforms, and coordinating builds and releases. The role also includes monitoring system performance, maintaining batch scheduling processes, and supporting configuration management and deployments. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, scripting expertise (PowerShell), and the ability to collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable application delivery. Support enterprise systems management functions including Performance & Capacity Management, System Configuration Management, Release Management, Build Coordination, and Batch Job Scheduling Manage configuration item promotion, application builds, and deployments across environments Prepare builds for production release and support production deployment activities Perform code delivery, code merging, and version control management between development streams Build applications and deploy releases to non-production environments Troubleshoot and resolve system and server issues, coordinating with application users to accurately diagnose problems Handle code deployments and environment synchronization across development, QA, staging, and production environments Monitor infrastructure and application performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization Maintain and manage batch job scheduling processes and operational playbooks for both production and non-production environments Develop and maintain automation tools for infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes Support operational reliability by improving monitoring, release automation, and deployment workflows What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
5+ years of enterprise-level IT experience Experience supporting.NET / C# applications Experience supporting ASP.NET applications and Windows Forms applications Experience configuring WCF and REST web services Strong experience administering Windows Server environments (including Windows Server 2016 and newer) Experience managing IIS web hosting environments (including IIS 10.0) Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows OS configuration and maintenance Experience managing TFS (Team Foundation Server) in both on-premises and Azure environments Experience with PowerShell scripting Experience managing Windows batch scheduling systems Experience working with API gateway and endpoint virtualization tools (SOA Akana / API Gateway) Experience supporting system security triage and operational issue resolution Preferred Qualifications
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes Exposure to JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS Additional Windows administration and infrastructure support experience About Fortuna
