Join our leading logistics company as a Forklift Operator in Provo, Utah! We are looking for experienced and certified forklift operators to manage the movement of materials within our state-of-the-art distribution center. This role is vital to our daily operations, ensuring that inventory is safely and efficiently transferred, loaded, and unloaded. You will operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and pallet jacks, to move goods from receiving to storage and from storage to shipping areas. A keen understanding of warehouse workflow and safety regulations is paramount. Your responsibilities will include inspecting forklifts before each shift, performing routine maintenance checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You must be proficient in navigating narrow aisles and handling delicate or oversized items with care. The ideal candidate possesses a strong commitment to Safety, a valid forklift certification, and experience in a high-volume warehouse setting. This position requires the ability to work flexible shifts, including some weekends. Heavy Lifting may be required when not operating the forklift. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some manual Lifting.
- Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
