We are looking for an diligent Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse locations, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected. You will utilize handheld scanners or pick sheets to navigate the warehouse, gather items, and prepare them for staging and shipping. Maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency is key to success in this position. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding safety standards. This role involves regular lifting and requires the ability to work at a steady pace in a dynamic environment. Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is strictly enforced to ensure the safety and well-being of all team members. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse shelves according to order requirements.
- Utilize scanning equipment or pick lists to locate and retrieve products.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to designated staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervision.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in order picking or a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 45 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Team-oriented and able to work effectively with colleagues.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
