We are searching for a meticulous Order Picker to join our New York City, New York team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or RF scanner directions.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, always using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to order fulfillment and logistics.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Must be reliable and able to work assigned shifts.
