As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment goods arrive. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against received items, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all incoming inventory. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. This position involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the WMS.
- Tag and stage incoming goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or logistics.
- Proficiency in using a computer and WMS software.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and wearing required PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
