Become a key member of our operations as a Shipping Clerk in Seattle, Washington. In this vital role, you will manage and coordinate the outgoing shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, verifying order accuracy, packaging items securely, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. You will be instrumental in maintaining the flow of products from our warehouse to our customers, playing a critical part in our logistics network. A meticulous attention to detail is required to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure all shipments are processed correctly and on schedule. Adherence to all company Safety policies and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. This position requires some physical exertion, including moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation accurately.
- Verify outgoing orders against packing lists.
- Package products securely for shipment.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized shipping areas and records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations.
- Utilize appropriate PPE as required.
- Assist with other warehouse duties, including Loading and occasional Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and general computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of Safety best practices.
