Our Nashville, Tennessee distribution center is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated logistics team. This crucial role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. You will utilize various tools and systems, including WMS (Warehouse Management System) and RF scanners, to track inventory movements and reconcile stock. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory challenges, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our supply chain. While the role is primarily focused on data and analysis, it may involve some physical activity, including light lifting and movement within the warehouse. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is expected. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any stockouts or overages.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Train warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
