San Diego, California is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our innovative logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, and supporting overall logistics efficiency. Your duties may include performing routine maintenance on machinery, assisting with equipment repairs, managing inventory of spare parts, and ensuring all equipment meets Safety standards. This position requires technical aptitude, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and a commitment to Safety. You will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all company safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts as needed.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, meeting regulatory standards.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and correctly use all mandated PPE.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial or warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations related to warehouse equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
