Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any issues immediately.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, such as storage racks, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear aisles and access to equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and best practices for forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
- Ensure the correct use of PPE at all times.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may include some manual lifting.
- Follow all instructions carefully to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license (e.g., OSHA-compliant training).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Excellent knowledge of forklift operating procedures and safety precautions.
- Strong spatial awareness and the ability to maneuver in tight spaces.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in wearing and utilizing PPE correctly.
