We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing the outbound flow of goods, ensuring that all shipments are accurately documented, packed, and dispatched on time. This role is essential to maintaining our commitment to timely and accurate deliveries to our customers. You will be working in a dynamic warehouse environment where efficiency and accuracy are paramount. Your role is key to our supply chain success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation accurately.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring on-time performance.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory management systems.
- Communicate with internal departments (sales, production) and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Safely load and unload shipments as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when required.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or a related logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to perform Lifting tasks as required.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
