We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring accurate inventory placement. Your role is critical to the efficiency of our logistics operations and the Safety of our team. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and stage materials.
- Load and unload palletized goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from various areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory locations.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, free from obstructions.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support overall logistics operations and team efficiency.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of heavy items up to 70 lbs. Must be comfortable working in a dynamic logistics setting. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must wear designated PPE. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus. This role requires a dedicated individual who prioritizes Safety and efficiency in all operations. A strong work ethic and the ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment are essential. Your contribution to our logistics network is highly valued. Attention to detail and adherence to Safety guidelines are paramount.
