We are looking for a reliable and energetic Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our growing team in Austin, Texas. This role is vital for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, and preparing outgoing orders efficiently and accurately. A strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is key to succeeding in this position. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving and shipping area.
- Contribute to the overall logistics management of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
- Commitment to safety standards and the correct use of PPE.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
