Our Miami, Florida, distribution center is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound logistics. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that all orders are processed, documented, and dispatched accurately and on time. Responsibilities include preparing shipping labels and documents, verifying order contents, and coordinating with shipping carriers. Safety is a core value, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Process all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy in item count and destination.
- Generate and affix shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Verify order details against packing slips and customer information.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pick-up and delivery scheduling.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure packages are properly packed and secured for transit.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Shipping Clerk role, logistics, or administrative position.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
