This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods within our facility, ensuring materials are moved, organized, and staged efficiently. You will operate various types of material handling equipment to transport inventory to and from different areas of the warehouse. Our commitment to safety is paramount; all employees must strictly follow safety procedures and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This physically demanding position requires significant strength and endurance, including the ability to perform frequent heavy lifting and manual labor. Prior experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse machinery is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of goods.
- Transport materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming shipments.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and keep records accurate.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for efficient logistics.
