Our logistics company in Minneapolis, Minnesota is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to enhance our warehouse operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient movement of materials, ensuring that our inventory is managed effectively and our shipments are processed on time. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, moving stock, and assisting with inventory checks. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment. Safety is our utmost priority; therefore, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, and you must be capable of performing manual lifting of up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse setting.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members.
- Ensure timely movement of goods to meet production and shipping schedules.
- Participate in ongoing safety and equipment training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified forklift operator with relevant experience.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts proficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
