We have an opening for a skilled Reach Truck Operator at our Austin, Texas distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to efficiently move, stack, and retrieve products within our high-rack warehouse environment. Your primary duties will include ensuring accurate put-away and pick operations, performing pre-operation inspections on equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This position requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will work closely with the inventory and order fulfillment teams to ensure timely and accurate handling of goods. Understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory management principles is important. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. This role involves operating specialized equipment and requires the ability to perform occasional manual Lifting up to 30 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Accurately perform put-away and pick operations in designated rack locations.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks and report any equipment issues.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure Safety for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet operational goals.
- Ensure that all aisles and work areas are kept clear and organized.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in ongoing Safety training and warehouse improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or proven experience operating a reach truck.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform occasional manual Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
