Join our team as a Warehouse Worker in Washington, D.C., and play a vital role in the daily operations of our distribution center. This general warehouse position involves a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. You will be responsible for handling goods with care, maintaining an organized workspace, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. We are looking for motivated individuals who can work well independently and as part of a team. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment. A strong commitment to Safety is essential, and all employees must adhere to established protocols and use the provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to perform regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs is a key requirement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the warehousing and logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock shelves and designated storage areas.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Assist with inventory counts and checks.
- Follow all company policies and Safety procedures.
- Utilize provided PPE correctly at all times.
- Contribute to team goals and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
