Join our thriving logistics operation as an Order Picker in San Antonio, Texas. This crucial role involves accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment within our busy warehouse. You will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive the right products, on time, and in excellent condition. The Order Picker will navigate through warehouse aisles, utilizing a scanner to identify and retrieve items according to order tickets. This position demands a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency. A good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management is beneficial. You will be expected to work diligently to meet picking quotas while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Safety is paramount in our warehouse; therefore, adherence to all Safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role involves considerable physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items and movement throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Use RF scanners to track picked items and update inventory.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Package items securely for shipment.
- Stage orders for outgoing transportation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in regular Safety training.
- Handle various sized items, requiring moderate to heavy Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists.
- Proficiency in using RF scanning equipment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform repetitive Lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics principles is an advantage.
