Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Jose, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, managing stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), and ensuring that all inventory movements are accurately recorded in our system. You will play a key part in optimizing our logistics operations by ensuring that accurate stock levels are maintained, which directly impacts order fulfillment and operational efficiency. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. A commitment to safety, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. Experience with inventory control methodologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out).
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and utilize required PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
