Our dynamic New York City, New York, **Logistics** team is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and discrepancy resolution. Your meticulous approach and understanding of warehouse operations are essential to optimizing stock levels and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. We are dedicated to providing a secure and **Safety**-focused work environment, complete with the required **PPE**. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and manage stock rotation procedures (FIFO/LIFO).
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory loss and shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with all **Safety** regulations and proper handling of materials.
- Oversee the proper use and storage of **PPE**.
- Train other staff on inventory control procedures and **Lifting** best practices.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations management to optimize inventory flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role within **Logistics**.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of **Safety** procedures and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to manage **Lifting** and moving of inventory as needed.
- Familiarity with required **PPE** and its proper use.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
