Construct custom user interfaces using the latest programming methodologies and technologies.
Create reusable software components for smooth integration with backend systems.
Analyze and optimize code to improve quality, efficiency, and performance.
Lead complex technical projects while guiding fellow team members.
Design efficient and scalable systems that power versatile applications.
Proactively identify and tackle performance and scalability challenges.
Utilize a diverse set of programming languages and technologies.
Take ownership of components, features, or systems with comprehensive end-to-end understanding.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in or nearing completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience (degree completion is required before joining Meta).
Two or more years of programming experience in a relevant language OR a PhD with at least 9 months of programming experience in a relevant language.
Demonstrated capability to set technical direction for teams and effectively foster cross-functional partnerships.
Experience in constructing maintainable and testable codebases, including API design and unit testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in fields such as machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, artificial intelligence, or closely related disciplines.
Proven experience in developing machine learning models from conception to realizing business impact.
Familiarity with architectural frameworks of large-scale software applications.
Proficient in scripting languages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, JavaScript, or Hack.
Ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations with impact.
Experience in enhancing quality through thoughtful code reviews, comprehensive testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and ongoing improvements.
Knowledge of development and debugging in C/C++ and Java, or familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Perl, PHP, and/or shell scripts.
Public Compensation: $58.65/hour to $181,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
