Solution Architect II
to strategically design and guide information systems that support core business functions, with a critical focus on our expanding
GenAI and Agentic AI software delivery lifecycle
. In this role, you will translate business strategy into secure, scalable solution designs-ensuring applications, infrastructure, and security architectures align with enterprise standards and engineering best practices. This architect will play a key role in governing emerging GenAI development patterns, enabling responsible AI-assisted code delivery, and supporting the GenAI SDLC team by providing hands-on architecture and software engineering leadership as demand for AI-driven solutions continues to grow.
Our ideal Solution Architect II will bring:
Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership
Proven experience designing end-to-end solutions that align business strategy with application, infrastructure, and security architectures.
Hands-on technical leadership, providing architectural guidance from strategic decision-making through detailed solution evaluation at the project level.
GenAI & Emerging Technology Enablement
Working knowledge of GenAI-enabled development practices, AI-assisted code delivery, and agent-based solution patterns, with a focus on responsible use, reliability, and scalability.
Ability to guide engineering teams on applying enterprise patterns, security controls, and SDLC guardrails to GenAI-driven solutions.
Architecture Alignment & Portfolio Planning
Strong partnership skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, security, and infrastructure teams to define both long-term architectural direction and short-term tactical plans.
Experience participating in portfolio planning and backlog alignment, ensuring technical cohesion across initiatives and alignment with business and architectural roadmaps.
Engineering Practices & Delivery Frameworks
Solid working knowledge of modern development and IT management frameworks, including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and ITSM.
Strong understanding of security principles and practices, with the ability to incorporate security-by-design into solution architectures.
It would be great if you also had:
Healthcare Data Domain Expertise
Familiarity with healthcare data ecosystems, including claims, membership, authorizations, and care management datasets, and understanding of regulatory compliance (HIPAA, etc.)

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Comprehend business strategies and requirements to develop information systems designs to ensure those systems will satisfy business requirements
Proactively evaluate emerging technology and new functionality released by technology providers for applicability to the business strategy while ensuring emerging technology is a strategic fit within the overall enterprise architecture and agreed upon technology standards.
Partner with peers to design & implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate technology (software, hardware, & security).
Participate in and influence portfolio planning; ensuring technical consistency and cohesion between portfolio backlogs and alignment with business and architectural roadmaps.
Provide overall technical leadership across the organization; from strategic decision making to project level detail evaluation.
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Experience
7 years - Professional work experience within or across specific disciplines (Application support, Security, & Infrastructure) in a corporate environment.
1 year - Experience with reverse proxies, gateways, service oriented architectures, web services, service buses and integration patterns, security practices, and database technologies.
1 year - Experience with IT development & management frameworks (e.g. Agile, SCRUM, SAFe, KANBAN, ITSM).
5 years - Professional work experience in an architecture and/or solution design role in a corporate environment.
Skills/Certifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability
