As a vital part of Coinbase's decision-making and product development, Data Science collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to shape our roadmap and deepen our understanding of our users. With expertise in experimentation, analytics, and advanced modeling, our work directly influences the company's success. We are seeking a Data Scientist II to join our Institutional team. In this role, you will help lay the groundwork for the Coinbase Institutional business by building models and frameworks to analyze fee structures, improving Prime Broker Trading/Financing offerings, and supporting initiatives in Custody, Web3, and Staking as we assist Institutions on their DeFi journey. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough analyses on products, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
Design and execute experiments and analyses to evaluate impact and drive product enhancements.
Create and manage key metrics and reports while improving our data infrastructure for better analysis.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Proven ability to drive impact in digital products with iterative development processes.
Strong understanding of statistical concepts with practical experience in A/B testing, causal inference, and machine learning.
Proficiency in data analysis using SQL and experience in programming and modeling with Python.

Depending on your location, the target annual base salary for this role ranges from $152,405 to $179,300 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
