Construction Contracts Manager

Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a main contractor on the appointment of a Contracts Manager to oversee a wide range of diverse construction projects in the Dublin area.

The client is open to negotiating a package that works best to suit the individual.

Responsibilities in your new role:

• Report directly to the Contracts Director and Managing Director on all projects, ensuring they are being managed in accordance with company systems. Provide weekly Site /Project Report
• Manage the projects to meet programme and to ensure handover, or phased handover, on time and within budget
• Closely monitor overall safety on sites under your control, liaising with the Safety Manager and maintain progress in accordance with H&S Regulations and PCL EHS System.
• Prepare, issue and monitor construction programmes
• Frequently liaise with the Design Team and Project Manager, keeping all informed of schedule / programme changes and variations
• Frequently liaise with the Contracts Director to staff projects.
• Represent the company at site meetings, preparing and presenting professional Contractors Reports, Progress Reports, and Info. Required Schedules
• Monitor the quality of the works and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and good building practice
• Monitor all site records for completeness and accuracy – diaries, allocations sheets, Advice Forms

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Senior Management, including at least 3 years as a Contracts Manager within a Main Contractor background
• A proven leader with strong negotiation, communication & team management skills. xcfaprz
• Strong technical expertise in interpreting drawings, specifications & works requirements
• Motivated, innovative leader with commercial acumen and proactive problem-solving abilities
• Degree in Construction, Engineering or related discipline
