Senior Project Manager

Are you an experienced Project Manager ready to take the lead on large-scale commercial projects that shape Ireland’s built environment? TOBIN is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team within our Building & Infrastructure Division and play a pivotal role in delivering complex, high‑value engineering and construction projects for leading commercial clients.

This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, and is motivated by driving projects to technical, financial, and operational success.

This role is open in any of our office locations across Ireland - Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Castlebar or Sligo.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the technical, financial, and operational delivery of major projects. You will be the driving force behind project planning, client communication, team coordination, compliance, and excellence in execution.

You will be involved in delivering large-scale commercial developments, working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure outcomes that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and innovation.

What you’ll bring:

• Lead the delivery of complex commercial projects from concept to completion.
• Develop, manage, and implement detailed project plans balancing time, scope, and resources.
• Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and health & safety requirements including BCAR.
• Drive quality management across the full project lifecycle in line with QMS/EMS/OHSAS standards.
• Establish strong working relationships with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure all project stakeholders understand roles, deliverables, and budgets.
• Manage sub-consultants and ensure company processes are followed.
• Guarantee that all design work is completed and independently checked by competent personnel.
• Mentor junior project managers and support the development of the broader project team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and adoption of progressive project management methodologies.
• Support strategic planning and help shape the future direction of TOBIN’s project management function.

• A Level 8 qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–15 years’ experience successfully delivering complex engineering or construction projects.
• Strong capability in delivering projects both technically and financially.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of legal compliance, quality systems, and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and consultancy conditions.
• Proficiency with project management systems (experience with TOBIN tools is an advantage).
• Good understanding of the design process in the Irish construction sector.
• A Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, IPMA, Prince2) is an advantage.
