About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the end-to-end supply chain function at their manufacturing facility in Carrigaline, Co. Cork.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will oversee multiple core supply chain functions including planning, procurement, supplier development, customer service, and logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of more than 20 employees, including supervisors and direct reports, ensuring the effective coordination of people, processes, and systems to meet business and customer commitments.

This is a key leadership position within the organisation, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, HR, and Program Management, as well as with global supply chain stakeholders.

The role is fully onsite at the organisation’s manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Leadership
  • Lead and manage teams across Procurement, Planning, Supplier Development, Customer Service, and Logistics
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure operational targets and production requirements are met
  • Oversee team performance, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development
  • Work with HR to support recruitment, training, and succession planning
  • Operational Planning & Delivery
  • Confirm resource availability and capability to meet customer purchase order requirements
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to deliver against sales orders
  • Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery
  • Performance Management
  • Develop and monitor key operational KPIs including:
  • On-Time In-Full supplier performance
  • Customer delivery performance
  • Inventory cycle count accuracy
  • Response times and quotation turnaround
  • Team productivity and operational costs
  • Investigate performance gaps and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Compliance & Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure ERP system data integrity
  • Monitor inventory levels for production, customer-owned stock, and aftermarket parts
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and Dangerous Goods Transportation requirements
  • Maintain Known Consignor accreditation and related operational standards
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to optimise supply chain processes using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Support operational innovation and process improvements across the value stream
  • Ensure best practices xcfaprz in material handling, storage, and operational controls
Experience / Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience leading teams in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline
  • Strong leadership experience managing large teams in complex operational environments
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, from senior leadership to operational teams
Advantageous Experience
  • Engineering background or experience within electronic or electrical manufacturing environments
  • SAP experience, particularly in organisations transitioning to SAP systems
  • Experience with Known Consignor compliance
  • Knowledge of Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Project management experience
