Schedule: Full-Time (On-call for emergency response as needed)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Restoration Project Manager to oversee multiple residential and commercial mitigation projects simultaneously. This role is responsible for ensuring each project is accurately scoped, managed profitably, and properly documented to meet insurance carrier requirements. The Project Manager serves as the key liaison between field operations and insurance adjusters , ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Scoping & Estimating

  • Visit loss sites to assess damage and determine the scope of work
  • Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate or Xcelerate for water, fire, and mold restoration projects
  • Ensure estimates align with IICRC industry standards

Resource Management

  • Coordinate schedules for Crew Leads and Technicians
  • Ensure proper allocation of equipment, personnel, and materials for each project
  • Monitor project progress and adjust resources as necessary

Insurance Liaison

  • Act as the primary point of contact for insurance adjusters
  • Justify scope of work and documentation using IICRC S500 and S520 standards
  • Provide clear communication and negotiation with insurance carriers

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor job costing , including labor and material expenses
  • Ensure projects stay within budget and maintain strong profit margins

Compliance & Documentation

  • Review project files for internal audit readiness
  • Ensure all documentation including photos, moisture logs, and completion certificates are accurate and complete prior to billing

Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, and property managers
  • Support efforts to maintain a steady pipeline of restoration projects

Project Lifecycle Oversight

The Project Manager oversees the entire mitigation process including:

  • Initial Assessment: Identify water category (Cat 1, 2, or 3) and loss classification
  • Strategic Planning: Determine appropriate mitigation strategy (drying vs. demolition)
  • Execution Oversight: Ensure field crews follow the drying and mitigation plan
  • Verification: Confirm structures reach the proper dry standard before equipment removal

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of restoration industry experience (SERVPRO experience preferred)
  • Expert-level knowledge of Xactimate or Xcelerate estimating software
  • IICRC Certifications Required:
    • WRT – Water Restoration Technician
    • ASD – Applied Structural Drying
  • Preferred Certification:
    • AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation Technician
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills for client, adjuster, and internal team interaction
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available for after-hours or weekend emergency response for large-loss events
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
