We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our state-of-the-art facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in material handling will be essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that goods are moved accurately and on time. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, precision in operation, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment. We are looking for individuals who prioritize safety and efficiency in all aspects of their work, contributing to the smooth functioning of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets of goods.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways for safe movement.
- Follow all instructions related to warehouse logistics and material handling.
- Be aware of surroundings and potential hazards to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some Lifting and maneuvering.
- Strong spatial awareness and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding logistics setting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
