Hospitalist APP

Job Description

Work alongside physicians and nurses and provide medical services primarily to hospital inpatients.

The duties and responsibilities of a Hospitalist APP include:

• Conduct patient interviews and take medical histories
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
• Analyze test results and develop patient care plans
• Provide treatment, such as setting broken bones, suturing wounds, and managing infections
• Prescribe medications under the supervision of a physician
• Document patient care and update medical records
• Educate and counsel patients and their families about ongoing care and disease prevention
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, specialists, and therapists for patient care
• Assist physicians during surgeries and procedures
• Monitor patient progress and make changes to the treatment plan as needed
