is responsible for managing all Microsoft SQL databases, related architecture, and supporting infrastructure. This includes monitoring, tuning, securing, designing, testing, installing, and optimizing both on-premise SQL Server environments and SQL-as-a-Service platforms such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database.
6+ years hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server clusters.
4+ years implementing and supporting SQL Always On (2016/2019).
Experience with RedGate SQL Monitoring, Ola Hallengren maintenance scripts, and Brent Ozar SQL optimization tools.
Experience with Azure SQL Database administration.
Strong SQL query tuning, performance optimization, and database troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of ETL tools, BI systems, and data warehousing (Redshift preferred).
Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong understanding of database security, encryption, access models, and backup/recovery strategies.
Education & Certifications
Four-year degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
