Job Summary
Will gain experience in: • Building automated data pipelines between source departments and the enterprise data warehouse. • Working with large-scale HR and workforce data models in Scuba. • Supporting high-visibility reporting that impacts funding retention and workforce strategy. • Translating program data into actionable analytics for UCSF leadership. • Migrating Tableau dashboards and reports to leverage enterprise data warehouse models. • Translating raw-source SQL logic into structured fact and dimension model queries. • Understanding recruitment analytics, including vacancy trends and hiring lifecycle metrics. • Building the technical foundation for scalable analytics in preparation for AI-driven insights. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $25.72 - $36.59 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
Have strong proficiency in SQL, with experience writing and troubleshooting complex queries. Are comfortable developing and enhancing dashboards in Tableau. Bring prior academic or professional experience working with data/analytics projects. Are skilled at QA and validation, with an eye for detail and persistence in tracking down discrepancies. Demonstrate curiosity and problem-solving ability-someone who enjoys digging into data puzzles and figuring out how the pieces fit together. Understand core data modeling concepts (fact/dimension tables, joins, hierarchies) or are motivated to learn quickly. Communicate clearly and work collaboratively, while being comfortable owning pieces of a project independently. Preferred Qualifications
Previous exposure to R or Python, with interest in applying it to workforce analytics. Experience with HR, recruitment, or workforce-related datasets. Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse environments.
