Responsible for all testing service activities in accordance with the GHX documented procedures, management of the Mobile Hose Testing Rig, including scheduling of services for the technicians as well as supervising supporting Hose Testing Technicians from time to time, and ensuring that the Hose Testing Team qualifies for and follows site entry and safety requirements. Additionally responsible for entry of tested hoses (assets) into the GHXTracker, marking the assets and training the customer champion on the use of the GHXTracker. Essential Functions
Manage rig and team schedules, travel route for most efficient completion of scheduled hose testing jobs Creating Job quotes for the sales team Ensure all necessary equipment / supplies required to complete planned scope of work and rig equipment is maintained and ready for service Identify opportunities that will generate new hose sales and solve customer application challenges Follow-up and develop new leads and referrals resulting in new Hose Testing Services jobs Ability to identify and ensure GHX team follows all site specific certification requirements to access / work on customer facility (TWIC card, etc.) Capable of walking a job with GHX Account Manager and or customer champion to identify scope, time and resource requirements Must be able to successfully function in a fast paced, high volume environment
Responsible for entering data into GHXTracker and P21 as well as preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings and follow-up Participate in marketing activities such as trade shows, market blitz, etc. Post job follow-up meetings with customers Ability to work effectively along with the outside sales team on all pre- and post-job follow-up meetings. Regularly make suggestions for improvement hose testing services and work on continuous improvement projects for lean, quality and safety Independently use and operate all required test equipment and provide training / oversight to Hose Testing Technicians Able to make decisions in the absence of supervisor This position requires travel along the Gulf Coast region between Texas and Louisiana when necessary
Experience, Education and Skills
High school or equivalent (GED) 3 years industrial shop experience required; 5+ years of related experience and/or training preferred Must be able to obtain and maintain current required credentials for accessing and working at customer sites (ie. TWIC, site specific and safety training, etc.) Hose Testing Service requires product knowledge of hoses / fittings and an understanding of GHX and customer's hose testing policies and procedures
Working knowledge of computers and business related software. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write and speak English. Verbal Spanish skills are beneficial.
Physical Requirements
Ability to drive Hose Testing Rig (F250 class 4 door pick-up with 24ft trailer)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Lift up to 70 lbs occasionally Stand for an extended period Working conditions are in a non-climate controlled environment
