Possess a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, components and equipment. Possess the ability to read and comprehend mechanical plans/drawings and specifications. Respond to service opportunities resulting from problems and issues identified by service operations and service technicians. Interface with assigned customers, identify needs and solutions for service agreements, repairs, equipment and controls upgrades and system enhancements. Respond to requests and pursue opportunities as directed by Sales Manager. Conduct job site and equipment surveys and prepare estimates for desired scope of work. Define scope of work and solicit proposals from equipment suppliers and subcontractors. Write proposals and secure purchase order and/or necessary authorization to proceed. Perform project management duties, billings and job close outs. All work to be estimated and executed in accordance with established benchmarks. Partner with CFO to ensure contractual claims and/or A/R disputes are resolved timely. Evaluate on site safety risks and adjust scope and estimate accordingly. Actively participate in Sales meetings. Collaborate and cooperate with peers to share best business practices. Participate in special projects as needed. Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Strong written and oral communication skills. 2-5 years of direct experience in a customer facing position in the HVAC industry is required. BSME or 4-5 years of direct experience in the HVAC industry is required.
