Financial Controller - Europe

• Lead the preparation, review, and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements.
• Oversee statutory reporting across relevant European jurisdictions.
• Partner with global finance teams to align reporting standards, timelines, and processes.

• Own the integrity of the European general ledger, balance sheet, and P&L.
• Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, systems, and controls.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury-related activities for the region.
• Oversee tax compliance, VAT, and regulatory filings in collaboration with external advisors.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team across multiple locations.
• Foster accountability, consistency, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and corporate teams to support business decision-making.

• Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the business, ensuring financial discipline and clarity.

6+ years' experience as a Financial Controller or equivalent senior finance leadership role.

• Proven track record in a fast-paced, dynamic, and scaling environment (e.g., tech, manufacturing, consumer goods, services).
• Strong technical accounting background with solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency European operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver through people, with a consistent and structured approach.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, modelling, data analysis).
• Strong systems orientation; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
