We are seeking a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our bustling logistics hub in Houston, Texas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. Your proficiency in operating this specialized equipment is key to maintaining efficient storage and retrieval processes, directly impacting our overall Logistics performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe and efficient reach truck operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to upholding rigorous Safety standards. You will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring optimal space utilization and product accessibility. This role requires the ability to work independently, follow instructions precisely, and maintain focus in a high-volume setting. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times, and you must be comfortable working at elevated heights and performing tasks that involve regular Lifting and maneuvering of goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks as required, ensuring proper placement and security of goods.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the reach truck to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating system information.
- Follow all warehouse operational procedures and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment issues immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall Logistics operations.
- Maximize warehouse space utilization through effective stacking and organization.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of equipment Safety and operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable with heights and performing tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear required PPE .
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
