Our Los Angeles, California facility is seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of products. This position is essential for maintaining our commitment to timely and accurate deliveries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of shipping preparation, documentation, and coordination with transportation partners. Success in this role depends on precision, efficiency, and a solid understanding of logistics. You will be an integral part of our supply chain team, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective shipping processes.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately generate and process all necessary shipping documents.
- Arrange for pickup of shipments with various carriers, ensuring timely departures.
- Verify product count and condition before dispatch, ensuring quality control.
- Maintain meticulous records of all shipments for tracking and auditing purposes.
- Liaise with customer service and sales teams to resolve any shipping-related inquiries.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, and regulatory requirements for shipping.
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to update shipment statuses.
- Operate shipping equipment like pallet jacks and box sealers.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a shipping or logistics-related administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with different shipping carriers and their requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to handle tasks that may involve light lifting.
- Knowledge of inventory management basics and logistics procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
