Nursery Third in Charge

Location: The Bourne End Day Nursery & Pre School, Furlong Road, Bourne End, SL8 5AE

Salary: £30,555.20 per annum plus a £1000 welcome bonus

Hours: 40 hours per week

Qualification: Level 3 Childcare Qualification is essential

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our friendly team. If you have a Level 3 Childcare qualification and are ready to work full-time (40 hours per week) with flexible shifts between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, we want to hear from you!

As a Room Leader, your responsibilities will include:

• Creating engaging, age-appropriate learning environments and experiences
• Supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development
• Helping staff maintain high-quality learning journals via EyLog
• Leading by example with fairness and consistency
• Strengthening the key person approach and identifying staff training needs
• Keeping accurate records using EyMan and other systems
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and visitors
• Complying with EYFS statutory requirements

You are compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to making a difference every day.

• Level 3 childcare qualification
• Confident written and spoken English

• Experience in an Early Years setting
• Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding best practices
