Centric Mental Health - Senior Clinical/Educational/Counselling Psychologist

Centric Mental Health has created an exciting and unique opportunity. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Psychologist to lead a dynamic multidisciplinary team and become part of a vision that will change how we deliver Primary Care mental health services in Limerick, Ireland (exact location to be agreed). We are dedicated to providing exceptional, proactive, and outcome-driven healthcare aimed at keeping people of all ages well in their community. To this end, we are expanding our mental health services across our network of Centric Health Primary Care facilities.


The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner and effective team leader with excellent assessment, individual therapy and group therapy skills. They will have demonstrated excellence in their ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate mental health care pathways for a variety of presentations including neurodivergence. They will have experience in the diagnostic assessment of ADHD and Autism, for both children and adults. They will have experience as a supervisor. They will be highly motivated, organized and efficient, and committed to providing the highest quality evidenced-based mental health care.

Key Details

Contract: Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time


Working Hours: To be agreed flexible


Working Pattern: To be agreed flexible


Salary Range: €97,528 - €114,638 pro rata, dependent on experience


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical and diagnostic assessments, including ADHD and Autism, in line with best practice guidelines.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Deliver timely and satisfactory assessment reports.
  • Provide psychological therapies, interventions and supports across a range of issues in primary care and corporate mental health settings.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to professional competence and clinical governance principles.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and CPD related to clinical work.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Use supervision effectively to support clinical development, promote excellent standards of care, and ensure safe clinical practice.
  • Provide clinical supervision for staff grade psychologists and other clinicians as designated by the clinical director.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

  • Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology. Candidates qualified overseas must provide evidence of validation by the Department of Health at the time of application.
  • At least five years of professional experience including time spent in post-graduate training in Clinical/Educational/Counselling Psychology.
  • Experience in assessment and intervention with individuals with ADHD and Autism.
  • Chartered Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability to fulfil the role, to deliver the appropriate services, and to carry out duties assigned by the Clinical Director.
  • Fluent in English (Level B2 Advanced or above).
