Our client, one of Ireland's largest employers, is currently looking to recruit an Engineering Risk Analyst with Strategy experience and with an engineering/construction background to manage the delivery of a large rail related programs and capex project across Ireland.
About the Company
This role involves developing a managing risk and commercial strategy in the area of operational management and the planning & costing of projects across the rail network in Ireland. You will also develop the strategy for programme delivery and the success of these major expansion project.
They have one of the largest portfolios in the country and are looking to continue their expansion across this function over the next 10 years.
These projects are essential development to their nationwide delivery, and it is paramount that they complete these projects on time and on budget. You will work with a very experienced team who are experts in large engineering infrastructure programs projects, and you will manage and guide them to success on this program. Planning is an essential aspect of this program.
This is a very important time for the development of the rail network in Ireland and these projects are essential for the development of Irish infrastructure.
About the Position
Within this role you will be involved in
- Assess and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with engineering projects.
- Utilize statistical analysis.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend actions to minimize project vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data related to project risks.
- Work closely with stakeholders to generate risk reports
- Continuously monitor and update risk assessments as project conditions evolve.
- Development of contingency plans to address unforeseen events.
- Provide data-driven insights on risk exposure.
- Contribute to the overall risk management framework and culture within the engineering department.
Experience/Requirements
For this role you are required to have:
- Experience with assessment methods such as Bow tie, Zonal Hazard analysis, FMEA, Fault tree etc.
- Strategic Planning
- 5 years experience in risk, project and commercial management
- Experience in managing budgets and capital investment
- A related qualification in engineering. Quantity Surveying/Civil/Planning/Commercial
- Commercial management ability
- Experience with CWMF and NEC forms of contract
- You will have a background ideally in rail.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to negotiate where needed. xcfaprz
