Roofing Project Manager

Job Description

Starting Salary 

$80,000 with opportunity to grow into $100,000 based on performance and expansion of 

territory.  

Position Summary 

The Installation Manager is responsible for overseeing the full execution of roofing projects 

from post-sale handoff to final completion. This role ensures projects are completed on 

time, within budget, and to PMR’s quality standards. 

The Installation Manager acts as the bridge between sales, production, crews, and 

customers — protecting company margin while delivering an exceptional installation 

experience. 

Core Responsibilities 

Project Oversight 

•Review job packets and confirm scope accuracy before production 

•Verify measurements and materials prior to scheduling 

•Schedule crews and coordinate job start dates 

•Ensure all materials, dumpsters, and equipment are ordered and delivered correctly 

•Monitor job progress daily 

Quality Control 

•Conduct site visits during installation 

•Ensure installations meet PMR quality standards 

•Verify flashing, underlayment, ventilation, trim, and finish details 

•Identify and correct issues before they become call-backs 

•Require full job photo documentation from start to finish 

Margin Protection 

•Track labor percentages and job cost performance 

•Identify change orders and additional work opportunities 

•Communicate scope changes to sales immediately 

•Prevent avoidable rework or waste 

Crew Leadership 

•Hold crews accountable to cleanliness, safety, and timelines 

•Communicate expectations clearly and consistently 

•Maintain a professional and team-first culture on job sites 

•Address performance issues quickly and directly 

Customer Communication 

•Meet homeowners at job start when necessary 

•Manage customer expectations throughout the project 

•Resolve field concerns professionally 

•Ensure a strong final walkthrough experience 

Key Metrics of Success 

•Jobs completed on schedule 

•Labor percentage within target 

•Minimal call-backs 

•Proper documentation on every project 

•Positive customer reviews 

•Clean and organized job sites 

Qualifications 

•Any roofing or construction project management 

•Strong knowledge of roofing systems (metal preferred) 

•Ability to read contracts and scope details 

•High level of organization

•Ability to manage multiple projects at once
