Position Overview

GTH Logistics Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Area Manager – Trucking Operations to oversee and support our local trucking operations. This leadership role will manage and support department managers responsible for dispatch/scheduling, driver recruiting, compliance, safety, and fleet maintenance .

The Area Manager will ensure operational alignment, regulatory compliance, and high performance across all departments. The ideal candidate will have CDL Class A experience , strong knowledge of trucking operations , and experience in dispatching and driver recruiting .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall performance of local trucking operations across multiple departments
• Lead and support department managers responsible for dispatching, recruiting, compliance, safety, and fleet maintenance
• Ensure effective scheduling and dispatch operations to maximize efficiency and service reliability
• Support and guide driver recruiting strategies to maintain a strong driver workforce
• Ensure operations comply with DOT, FMCSA, and safety regulations
• Monitor and support driver safety programs and performance management
• Coordinate with maintenance leadership to ensure fleet maintenance schedules and equipment reliability
• Track key operational metrics including on-time performance, driver retention, safety metrics, and fleet utilization
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability
• Serve as a key point of coordination between leadership, operations teams, and drivers

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license preferred
• Experience in truck dispatching and logistics operations
• Experience with driver recruiting and onboarding
• Strong knowledge of DOT / FMCSA regulations and trucking compliance
• Leadership experience managing teams or department supervisors
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead multiple operational functions in a fast-paced trucking environment

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics operations management
• Experience overseeing dispatch teams, driver recruiting, or fleet operations
• Familiarity with TMS systems, ELD platforms, and fleet management software
