Über
HomeTown Physical Therapy is a private owned physical and occupational therapy company that opened in 2006. We provide care in medically under-served communities, both rural and urban, to offer residents an alternative to hospital based physical and occupational therapy. In addition, HomeTown participates in the Health Care Professional Recruitment Program (Iowa based therapy program graduates student loan repayment program).
What makes us different from other employers? Owner, Sandy Norby, PT, DPT is actively involved in the American Physical Therapy Association and is a Payment Policy and Compliance specialist. Why does this matter? It means our therapists practice, treat, document and code according to accurate compliance requirements and the law. Working under her mentorship, therapists are allowed and encouraged to practice to the full extent of their Iowa license, which includes unrestricted Direct Access. Faith and family are very important to the Norby’s and this mentality is evident in how they treat the therapists and support staff that work for them.
Professional advancement is also very important to HomeTown and the owners offer a generous continuing education allowance. Those therapists that desire to achieve specialist certification will also be supported to obtain their goals.
