We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to drive the development and day-to-day operations on our data and analytics team. This is an execution-focused role within a lean data team, responsible for building, debugging, and maintaining the tools that deliver data to our stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a highly proficient practitioner who thrives on building and maintaining the "full stack" of BI. You will be responsible for writing and troubleshooting Python-based ETL/ELT pipelines, developing complex logic within SQL Server, and creating the end-user reports that power our business. We need someone who enjoys all stages of data including cleaning it, moving it, and visualizing it with a high degree of accuracy and reliability. Key Responsibilities:
SQL Server Development & Administration
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and functions in production environments. Perform regular database tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization, prioritizing stability and performance for reporting infrastructure.
ETL/ELT Development
Develop Python scripts to extract data from various sources and load it into our environment. Monitor existing ETL/ELT processes to ensure data is flowing correctly and resolve any pipeline failures promptly.
Reporting & Visualization
Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards to meet stakeholder requirements. Ensure data models are optimized for performance and usability.
BI Systems Analysis & Support
Provide tier-2/3 support for BI tools and environments, including issue triage and resolution. Partner with business stakeholders to document data requirements and ensure solutions align with operational and strategic goals.
Data Governance & Quality
Implement data validation, auditing, and reconciliation processes to ensure integrity of reporting outputs. Support governance initiatives for consistent and accurate data across platforms.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of experience as a BI Developer, Database Developer, or similar role. 2+ years of experience supporting production-grade Python ETL processes. Strong proficiency with SQL Server (including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and performance tuning). Proven experience with SSRS and Power BI, including DAX and Power Query. Experience supporting production environments and snapshot reporting databases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and documentation skills to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with JIRA and agile methodologies Background in business or systems analysis, with proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Experience with retail and NetSuite Data Model Key Competencies: Self-starter and curiosity to dig in and learn Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality solutions. Salary:
