Responsibilities: Oversee all medical and surgical cases, ensuring positive outcomes, accurate estimates, and strong client communication Manage hospital financial performance, including revenue growth and expense control Provide wellness and sick care, perform exams, and conduct diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures Monitor DVM performance, production, and licensure compliance Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine Train and mentor medical staff, including new graduates Maintain accurate medical and surgical records Strengthen community involvement through partnerships and outreach initiatives Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring DVMs and staff Uphold medical standards, quality of care, compliance, and American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation Partner with the Hospital Manager on staff development, hiring/termination decisions, performance evaluations, conflict resolution, strategic planning, budgeting, and practice growth Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinarian Medicine Doctors (VMD) License to practice medicine in Virginia or the ability to acquire one DEA License Eagerness/willingness for surgery and dentistry preferred About the area:Manassas offers the perfect balance of suburban charm and metropolitan access.
