NeoDyne are recruiting a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to work on leading‑edge automation projects, predominantly in the Energy, Life Science and Food & Beverage sectors. Experience with Siemens, Rockwell and AVEVA (Wonderware) products would be a distinct advantage. This role is offered as a full‑time staff position, based out of our Cork office, with an excellent salary and benefits package. • Collaborate with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers managing and delivering projects to customer sites.
  
• Develop engineering design documents, technical evaluations and test plans for cGMP process equipment in accordance with GAMP 5 guidelines.
  
• Design and code industrial process automation solutions on programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  
• Produce I/O schedules.
  
• Prepare functional design specifications.
  
• Design and configure user interface systems for industrial control (HMI/SCADA).
  
• Design control panels and create panel wiring schematics.
  
• Commission control systems in the field: I/O and instrumentation testing, full testing and commissioning of automation systems.
  
• Diagnose faults in control systems (PLC, HMI/SCADA, communication networks).
  
• Provide design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems.
  
• Work closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through automation and data analytics technology.
  
• Provide technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  
• 5–7 years of automation engineering experience.
  
• PLC programming experience with Siemens or Rockwell.
  
• HMI/SCADA experience with Siemens, Rockwell, AVEVA or Schneider.
  
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
  
• Experience with control networks and communication systems such as Profibus, Modbus and DeviceNet.
