Overview

Fantastic opportunity for a Database Platform Engineer to join a company with huge growth potential.

You must have at least 5+ years in-depth PostgreSQL database architecture and management experience for this role, handling database migrations, query optimization, and indexing.

This is a permanent position based in Dublin with a hybrid working model, you will be required to attend site in Dublin three times per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and optimising multiple databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, MongoDB, DynamoDB), Setting up and being cost effective
  • Handling database migrations, query optimization, and indexing.
  • Creating ad hoc and automated reports in tools like Grafana and N8N.
  • Managing database integrations with third-party tools like Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Supporting the Accounts team with billing data and pricing insights.
  • Ensuring patient lists are accurate in live environments.
  • Managing test data for the integration team and providing mock data for developers.
  • Investigating customer data issues, particularly those related to HL7.
Key Skills and Competencies
  • Strong understanding of database architecture and management, particularly in Postgres, Redis, OpenSearch, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
  • Proficiency in query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience in report generation, automation tools(Grafana, N8N), and data visualisation.
  • Ability to manage database integrations with external platforms (e.g., Microsoft PowerBI).
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting billing data, pricing logic, and customer queries.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working closely with development, integration, and accounts teams.
  • Help developers to create self-serving reports creation and scheduling for customers
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in database administration, management, and optimization.
  • Experience with database migrations, schema design, and index management.
  • Familiarity with HL7 standards and integration processes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience working in cross-functional teams. xcfaprz
