About the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon

Step into a world of elegance at our Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, where we celebrate the art of Afternoon and High Tea. Opened by the Queen in 2012 in honor of her Diamond Jubilee, our salon offers a delightful selection of teas, fluffy scones, and delectable sandwiches, perfect for any special occasion. We also host private dining events, from charity balls to birthday celebrations.

Your Role

We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to enhance their skills in Afternoon Tea, Events, and Private Dining.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Senior Team to deliver exceptional food quality in your section.
  • Coach and develop CDPs and Commis Chefs, leading by example.
  • Regularly check section standards, ensuring audits and temperature checks are completed.
  • Take ownership of stocktaking and provide key feedback to the Head Chef.
  • Anticipate kitchen pinch points and communicate them to your line manager.
  • Assist Senior Chefs in producing monthly kitchen reports.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant team to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure effective communication so all teams are aware of the menu.
  • Exhibit strong planning, organizing, and time management skills to drive operational success.
  • Adhere to company policies and standards, including cleanliness and health & safety.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory, keeping Senior Chefs informed.

  • Experience as a Pastry Junior Sous Chef in a quality restaurant.

  • Commitment to maintaining Food Safety standards.
