Additionally, 3G's in-house design and integration team specializes in installing AVL equipment in arenas, theaters, and stadiums across the country.
Position Overview
3G Productions is seeking a hands-on production professional to support live events nationwide. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and client interaction, ensuring seamless execution from design through delivery. The position involves overseeing event operations, providing CAD/Vectorworks design support, and collaborating with sales, department leads, and executive management. Travel to show sites is required.
Within the first 60–90 days, the goals of this position would be to become proficient in FLEX (Flex Rental Solutions) workflows, actively participate in Project Management and Operations meetings, and contribute to show execution with increasing independence—ultimately managing assigned shows from planning through on-site execution within approximately 60 days.
General Tasks / Duties
Below is a general list of the tasks and duties:
- Manage production operations and oversee show preparation and de-prep in the warehouse
- Create Vectorworks and CAD drawings for events and installations
- Design and present show concepts to sales teams and clients, then lead deployment on site
- Participate in venue walkthroughs and support sales in technical scoping
- Advise executive management on capital expenditures and recommend equipment sales/retirements
- Collaborate with department leads across lighting, audio, video, and rigging
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Warehouse, and cross‑functional production teams to ensure alignment and execution
- Utilize FLEX (Flex Rental Solutions) for equipment planning, inventory coordination, and show execution
- Follow, execute, and contribute to standardized operating procedures and production protocols to ensure consistent show preparation, on-site execution, and closeout/de-prep
- Train and mentor new project managers and engineers
- Support design and installation of system sales projects
- Travel to shows and installations as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification and Experience
- Knowledge of Lighting, Audio, Video, and Rigging Equipment required
- Demonstrated experience across corporate events, touring productions, and festival environments
- College Degree preferred
- 5 years in production industry, working in teams, and executing large scale live event shows
- Experience coordinating across multiple departments to deliver complex production projects
- Experience working with (Flex Rental Solutions) or similar rental/inventory management systems
- Experience working with online quoting/sales/inventory management system preferred
- Experience working in Vectorworks and CAD
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Someone who enjoys building relationships with customers and co-workers
- Experienced in Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work in fast paced work environment
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful, high-pressure environments
Schedule / Hours of Work
Variable; Weekday is normal business hours and in office or out of home office; Weekend is on-site show work
